Why sell your boat through Windward Yachting


Windward's personnel have over 25 years in yacht broking. This experience will help you to obtain a smooth and trouble free conclusion to the sale of your boat. Listed below are some of the reasons why you should list your boat with Windward.

  • We will advice you on how best to prepare and present your boat for sale.

  • We will individually inspect your boat and give you an indication of its current market value.

  • We will prepare a comprehensive set of sales particulars for distribution.

  • We will exposure your boat through leading International boating journals, the Internet,  boat shows and our brokerage network.

  • We will save you the irritation of dealing with the inevitable army of time wasters.

  • We handle any offers and negotiations in effect of the best achievable sale price.

  • All proceeds from the sale are handled through the security of our protected client's account.

  • We will assist in the production of all correct paperwork and documentation to effect a proper transfer of clear title to the vendor.

What does it cost to sell your boat
 

  • Under normal circumstances we charge the standard UK commission rate of 8% (+VAT), of the sale price achieved.

  • For sole brokerage, where the vessel is ONLY *marketed through Windward Yachting Ltd, we charge a reduced rate of 6% (+VAT). (* This includes private sales)

  • The international rate 10% (+VAT) will apply for boats lying outside of the United Kingdom.

  • All commission charges are retained from the sale proceeds and due only in the event of a sale.

  • There are no other charges, unless otherwise agreed.

  • For any client who has signed purchase agreement with Windward Yachting Ltd for a new boat, will receive a 50% reduction, which will be given against standard brokerage charges, when listed with and successfully sold, by Windward Yachting Ltd.
